Extra curricular
At our institution, students are encouraged to take part in a variety of extracurricular activities designed to complement their academic growth and foster well-rounded development. These include clubs such as Debate, Chess, Science & Innovation, among others.
Each activity is overseen by a dedicated patron who guides and supports students during the scheduled extracurricular periods. Their role is to ensure active participation, skill development, and a positive learning environment.
To promote holistic growth, every student is expected to actively participate in at least two extracurricular activities each term. Participation is carefully monitored, and students’ skill progression is tracked to ensure they receive the right support and recognition.
These activities not only enrich students’ school experience but also help them discover talents, build confidence, and nurture teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills.
Music & Perorming Arts
Music is a key part of both our curricular and extracurricular programs, focusing on ‘Making Music’ and ‘Making Sense of Music’. Students explore various areas including vocals, instruments, composition, and production, with opportunities for individual lessons in instruments like drums, piano, violin, and recorder. They follow recognized exam boards such as ABRSM and LAM.
Music is woven into school life through assemblies, rehearsals, and performances, fostering a genuine and lasting love for music.
Dance and drama are regularly showcased in assemblies, classroom activities, themed curriculum days, and an annual school performance. Students also participate in events like the Nairobi Academy Interschools Verse Speaking competition, gaining exposure to poetry and performance.
